Mac Shale Eyeshadow

When applied, I find that MAC Shale eyeshadow is a purple-grey or very greyed purple as the case may be. It is not an obvious, obtrusive purple eyeshadow. It actually is a rather subtle and elegant color. On my eyelids, I find that it gives a rather smoky, but still right for daytime as well as evening, eye look. MAC Shale eyeshadow.

Shale is an interesting shade; it actually reminds me a LOT of Quarry, but with more plummy mauve tones, whereas Quarry is more of a straight toned down purple. Shale did take me a while.
